I love this place. The tasting menu is fantastic, particularly the yellowtail sashimi when we had it. The king crab hotpot is also delicious. Watching the robata chefs at work while you eat at the bar is fun. My one grouch was that they brought the dishes too quickly, with no chance to finish one before we were brought the next - a bit hectic. By the time we got to eat our sashimi it had been on the ice too long and was too cold. But all in all, I love this place.

Lovely place for a pub, with huge seating area right on the river. Nice but a bit bare and bright inside. Looked like there were some good real ales on tap. Separate dining area where we ate. Food was underwhelming. Fish and chips (with hake when I went) was good and fresh but not particularly delicious. Potted shrimps were a bit greasy. Wine and coffee were very good.
Apart from the riverside location, this was no better than any other generic gastropub. Gordon Ramsay is on billboards right now, proclaiming that 'average' is the worst word in the English language. Our meal was distinctly average.

Really lovely place, especially on a sunny evening, if you've accepted that you'll have to pay quite a bit.
We had delicious antipasti of mozzarella, really tasty risotto with tomatoes, homemade pasta with prawns, and huge portions of monkfish and salmon. The wood-roasted vegetables that came with it were also great. Simple but really well cooked, with perfect ingredients.
The staff were friendly and helpful to us, moved us inside when we got cold outside, and helped with the wine list. Expensive but a really good experience. Would love to go again.

Believe the other reviews! Worst service I've ever had in London. Staff got our reservation mixed up and we had to wait half an hour for a table, along with several other disgruntled customers. We waited even longer for drinks, then at the end had no time to properly finish our meal and were made to feel uncomfortable by staff wanting to go home. Rudeness and disinterest from the manager. Everyone around us looked cross and unimpressed. One pair were cramped into a small space next to the opening and closing toilet door. Food (we had roast beef) was absolutely delicious, but service a major let-down. Won't be going back.

Overpriced, small portions, unfriendly and unhelpful staff. They advertise themselves as a good place for Sunday lunch, but they don't have a special Sunday menu and had run out of beef and pork by the time we got there at 3pm.

Truly delicious Sunday roasts, beef and Yorkshire pudding, and very tasty desserts. Can get a bit hectic and smoky, so it's best to get a table in the non-smoking section. The staff are on the aloof side, but the food and the pleasantly traditional decor more than make up for it.
