Terrible. The place epitomizes what is wrong with 'upscale' clubbing in London. The main problem is that it is not upscale at all - on the contrary. A few reviews below hit it spot on when they commented that the girls expect to leach on men for drinks. Very sleazy.

This place would not be out of place in the centre of Romford, as that is where most of the clientele come from. A place for chavs, old men, escorts, and Eurotrash. Avoid!
Selfridges (Department Store / Lingerie Shop / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)

I have shopped all over the world and this store, in my opinion, ranks in the top 5 stores worldwide. Everything inside is perfect and the layout is superb.
Kai (Restaurant)

I go out in London a few days a week and have been to many excellent restaurants. Kai has incredible food but I have never seen prices this high in any restaurant ever. There is a whole page of the menu with dishes that range from £68 to £108 each. With two hungry people and a bottle of wine you are looking at a minimum spend of £100+ per person.
Mandarin Oriental (Hotel)

The marble foyer is simply stunning! I had family stay here for 6 months while their flat was getting redone and they were treated like kings. Some of the staff are a bit cold - not rude, just cold; however, on the whole, this is a great hotel. The mid-range restaurant inside, called 'The Park,' is great value, while the bar draws huge crowds.

Very very overpriced for what it is. Food nothing special at all, and this is the first time I can truly say the cocktail I ordered was undrinkable.
Harrods (Department Store / General Sports Shop / Food Hall)

The food hall is amazing (if more than a bit pricey), but the department store is shockingly overpriced. We were looking for a specific chest in both Harrods and Selfridges. Both had it in stock, only it was half the price (literally) at Selfridges. Very few Londoners, no matter how wealthy they are, visit this place for more than the incredible food hall.

I love a nice glass of champagne, but not in the company of fat 40-year-old men and chart music. Just so over and done with.

Full of nouveau riche Arabs and Russians with zero class and an insatiable desire to out-do each other. The women are escort-esque and the men sleazy beyond belief... Just not worth it.
Cafe de Paris (Club)

Much better than I expected. Got kicked out of Chinawhite for dancing on tables... oops. Went to Cafe and it was just as good. The dance floor in the middle with the balcony and chandelier above is great.

Not impressed. You walk in and you can't help but say: "Is this it?" The place is offensively small, low ceilinged, crowded, with no dance floor, decor is hard to spot at all.
One thing I did love was how they had live drums and would play the beat over the speaker with a deep base tone (they only did it for a few minutes though). Staff not bad either.
Teatro (Members' Club)

Oh my God... there is no way this was a members' club!? They had scouts out in Soho begging people to come in. We had heard of it, so we decided to give it a try. We were the only people in there - literally. Half of it was closed and the atmosphere was totally dead. I truly cannot believe anyone would like this place enough to get a membership!
