Centre National d’Art et de Culture Georges Pompidou

19 rue Beaubourg
4th Arrondissement, Paris 75004
Tel: 33 1 44 78 12 33

More commonly called Beaubourg, this art centre is famous for being infamous. Perhaps because of - rather than in spite of - this fact, it remains the most visited museum in Paris. Renzo Piano who designed it in 1975 was also responsible for the massive renovation work done before the reopening in 2000. The collections are of a very high standard and the view of Paris from the top floor simply breathtaking.
